A family-owned farm rooted in equine care, land stewardship, and meaningful gatherings.

About Us

Our Story
CatTail Farm started as a place to care for horses with thoughtfulness, responsibility, and respect for the land. Dr. Carolyn Wooley founded the farm as a passion project focused on animal welfare and hands-on care. Over the years, it naturally became a family-run farm shaped by experience, purpose, and a strong bond with the land.
As the farm grew, its purpose changed too. We added cattle, expanded our pasture-based methods, and started a small farm-to-table program, always focusing on quality instead of quantity. Every new step has followed the same rule: do things the right way, even if it takes more time.

Rooted in Family Values
In 2025, CatTail Farm hosted Andre and Maria’s wedding, which became a turning point for us. What started as a family celebration showed that the farm could be a great place for weddings, gatherings, and community events. Instead of changing the land to fit industry trends, we decided to let the farm guide us, offering events that feel real and true to this place.
Today, CatTail Farm offers horse boarding, agritourism experiences, carefully raised meats, and countryside events. Everything we do is based on family values, caring for animals, and respecting the land. We stay hands-on, choose our offerings carefully, and are dedicated to keeping what makes this place unique.
